1979 Hellinger Award Winner- Donna Rucci Collins

For the next 20 years after Donna Rucci was named as the Hellinger Award recipient, the award ceremonies would take place at The Plaza in New York City. Rucci was editor in chief when The Bona Venture was again given All-American honors from the National Collegiate Press Association. She was also involved with Sigma Delta Chi. Named to "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities," Rucci was one of 40 Newspaper Fund Editing Interns, and spent time as a copy editing intern at The Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition, she spent time with the Buffalo Evening News and The York (Pa) Dispatch.
